This file can not be opened outside of the online DS-160 application. Click on the “Close” button to return to the application once the download is complete. The system will download the application to your specified location. When you click this button, you will see a File Download dialog box, click “Save” button there after selecting the desired directory. “Save” button: This button at the bottom of the last page you have completed will allow you to permanently save your application to your computer. Click the “Save” button and follow the instructions to save the application data to a file. If you would like to complete your application after 30 days, you can permanently save the application to a disk or to your hard drive. That Application ID is required to continue your application at a later date for the next 30 days. If you would like to stop your application before submitting it, please note down the Application ID displayed in the top right-hand corner. You should save your application at regular intervals in order not to lose the data.Įvery time you click the “Next” button, your application will be automatically saved. In case of a “time out”, all the data that has been entered will be lost. In order to protect your privacy, the DS-160 application will “time out” if the application has been idle for approximately 20 minutes.
